i know of exactly two people who have powers along those lines. one is a fairly skilled mage with excellent control over the power he commands, and uses it for good.

...the other thought it would be a good idea to give a teenager that can blow things up at will access to an elder moth wasp demon thing that quickly possessed the kid.
